You've got a startup idea burning inside of you. You've devoured entrepreneurship books, spoken with potential customers, started building a business plan, thought through (or run) an MVP - maybe you've got a landing page or spoken with developers.
But now you're stuck - the momentum has stalled. You're not sure how to translate your passion into meaningful progress. You're putting off things you know you need to do. You want to put everything you've got into your idea... you're just not sure how.
Welcome to Tacklebox Accelerator.
We help with the hard stuff.
We present ideas and strategies that are critical for getting your startup off the ground. We customize content for session members, reinforce tactics through exercises and deliverables, bring in speakers to offer diverse opinions and experiences, and create an environment (lovingly called the trust tree) where founders can exchange ideas and critique each other in a positive way. You'll work alongside a group of driven entrepreneurs (there's a strict "nice people only" policy), making the process infinitely more effective and enjoyable.
Content + Workshops + Accountability
We run two in-person evening workshops each week. We facilitate group and individual exercises to build your startup thoughtfully from day one. You'll ship frequently, with the group holding you accountable.
Individual Strategy Sessions + Roadmap
We meet individually each week to identify manageable tasks that help you break through pressing roadblocks. We also build a personalized, milestone-based roadmap for growth post-Tacklebox Accelerator.
Once a week we invite a curated entrepreneur, investor, or industry thought leader to share insights, answer questions, and give specific feedback on your startup.
Investor Feedback Breakfasts
We host three Breakfast Pitches -- hour-long sessions before work -- with bagels, coffee, and pitches to top investors. No pressure; just personalized, valuable feedback. Ok, maybe a little pressure.
"Literally every single aspect of our company is better because of Tacklebox Accelerator."
We're building a growing roster of helpful entrepreneurs, investors, designers, and developers to address your specific challenges. We tailor each set of guests to support the current session's startups. Here's an example:
Wayne Congar (Founder @ Mayday): On strategy, design, and messaging.
Michael Parrish Dudell (Founder @ Race + Vine, author Shark Tank): On branding and voice.
Paul Canetti (Founder @ MAZ, Lynx): Ongrowth, team, and how to be different.
Trevor Ewen (Founder @ Neosavvy, TA Beta Shop): On Initial product / feature-set logistics,
Breakfast Investor Pitches
Angela Lee (Founder @ 37 Angels, Ass't Dean @ Columbia Business School).
We started Tacklebox Accelerator to help driven founders push through the tough, often counter-intuitive early stages of entrepreneurship. We will continue to build our team to support that mission.
Brian runs Tacklebox Accelerator. His background as an entrepreneur (3x founder), product manager (Lynx), innovation consultant / speaker (General Assembly, GE, Staples, various startups), and investor (J&J internal VC group) helped him build the framework for Tacklebox. Brian has taught a consistently sold-out course each month at General Assembly called 30 Days from Idea to Decision. He's also advised numerous early-staged startups on product and fundraising. He loves helping founders figure out what the heck they're making.
